Dorothy "Dot" Latta Tomlinson, of Greensboro, North Carolina, passed away on March 19, 2026. Born April 24, 1944, Dot was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose kindness and generosity touched everyone who knew her. Dot married A.A. "Pete" Tomlinson on August 28, 1965. Together they shared 48 years of marriage and raised two children, Tiffany and William Tomlinson.

Dot will be remembered for her generosity, strength, and sense of humor and had many "Momisms" that could make you laugh. She loved birds, flowers, and animals. She enjoyed nature, time spent at the cabin and cherished her friendships. Dot had a gift for gathering information and making things happen. She was a founding member of Super Flea Flea Market and loved antiques. She loved music and went to concerts with Tiffany, from Harry Connick Jr. to Michael Bublé (who gave her a kiss). Dot was a seamstress. She made many friends while working at Harris Teeter, loved afternoon tea, was a great cook and liked having family meals.

Dot is survived by her children, Tiffany and Will; her brother, Marvin Latta; four grandchildren; extended family and loved by many. Preceded in death by her husband, Pete; her brother, Irvin Latta; and her parents.

The service will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Greensboro, March 30 at 11 am. The family invites donations to an animal charity of your choice, honoring Dot's love of nature.
