Family-Placed Death Notice

PURGASON, Paul Paul Ray Purgason, 66, died Monday, June 15, 2009 in the Brunswick Community Hospital. Mr. Purgason was born June 1, 1943 in Greensboro, NC, to Paul J. and the late Carlene Harrell Purgason. Surviving are his father, Paul J. Purgason, and his wife, Margaret Louise, of Greensboro; wife of 41 years, Caroll Purgason; son, Hal Purgason, of Charlotte; daughter, Andrea Clark, and husband, Scot, of N. Myrtle Beach, SC; brother, William R. Purgason, and wife, Paulette, of Charlotte; and three grandchildren. A memorial service will be celebrated at 12:00 pm on Saturday, June 20, in the Shallotte Presbyterian Church by the Reverend John Causey. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Shallotte Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 3256, Shallotte, NC or a chosen charity.
