Shirley, Dickie McFetters wife called me last night and informed me that Dickie had passed away on August 16, 2012. There is not, nor will there be any obituary or service per Dickie's (Richard or Mac) request.
Shirley said it was his lungs--pulmonary thrombosis . She said that he went to the hospital for five days and the doctor told him he couldn't send him home with enough oxygen to maintain his life. Dickie decided he just wanted to be made comfortable. He lasted about 2 weeks.

It's been four years since this sweet friend left us. I heard from him a couple of weeks before he died. He was asking me to contact him. I got busy and when I tried to get in touch with him, he was in his last days. Dickie as I called him, was a Brother to me. He was always there for me and I could talk with him at any hour and he was there. He is truly missed but one day our paths with meet on Heaven's Shore..
