Steven L. Dunn, 58, died Monday, May 27, 2002, at Moses Cone Hospital.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at Lindley Park Baptist Church. The Rev. James P. Wall and Rev. Scott Orr will officiate. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park with Masonic Rites.
Mr. Dunn recently retired with the rank of Lieutenant from the Greensboro Police Department. He was a member of the Lindley Park Baptist Church, past Master of Masonic Lodge #76, a Shriner and an avid golfer.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Ramsey Dunn; son, Dustin Heth Dunn and wife, Hayden of Marietta, Ga.; daughters, Kristin Elizabeth and husband, Chris Cowles and Kelly Michelle Dunn, all of Greensboro; his mother, Frances S. Dunn; sister, Brenda Dunn Poole, both of Greensboro; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Joy and Griffin Heath Dunn. He is preceded in death by his father, William Lloyd Dunn.

A very dear, true friend for so many years. I remember the days of Scouts, playing football on Sunday afternoons at the park, double dating, ball games during the summer at the ball park on Market Street. I think of Steve often.
