GREENSBORO Elizabeth Ann Banner, 72, passed away at her home Sunday evening. A visitation of family and friends will be Saturday from 1 till 2 p.m. at Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home, 515 N. Elm St. and her memorial service will follow at 2 p.m.A lifelong resident of Greensboro, Elizabeth was the daughter of Loretta Rice and William Powell Banner; she was a graduate of Greensboro Senior High School (Grimsley High School) and attended Meredith College.From 1972-2000, she was a legal secretary with the Smith Moore Leatherwood law firm.She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, William Powell Banner, Jr and his wife Loretta. Special mention is made of her best buddies Bo and Lily.She is survived by her nephew William Powell Banner, III his wife Marlayna and their three children; longtime friend Kathy Hawkins, special caregivers and friends Ro and Robin, as well as other cousins.Donations may be made to the Guilford County Animal Shelter, 4525 W.
