I first met Tommy in Mr. Donovan's Mechanical Drawing class in the 10th grade at GHS and we became fast friends as our interests in drafting, architecture, cars, motorcycles, all brought us together. We went to NC State in the School of Design and we were roommates for 2 1/2 years. We stayed in touch for a couple of years, but then we drifted apart and unfortunately didn't have any contact until 2016-2017 when we exchanged phone calls and emails with plans to attend the 55th reunion, It was great to see him again at the reunion and to meet his wife, Dee. I extend my heartfelt sympathy and condolences to Dee and his daughter, Gwyneth, and son, Christopher, and Susan. Tommy was a good friend and will always remain in my heart.

Go with God, Thomas Gene!
