CHAPEL HILL — Sandra Lisk (Sandy) Fearrington, 66, of Chapel Hill, went to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, February 7, 2010 at UNC Hospital after a long battle with multiple complications from diabetes.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 10, 2010 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams St. (Hwy 55), Apex.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 11, 2010 at Merritt's Chapel UMC, 1090 Farrington Point Rd, Chapel Hill, NC 27517 conducted by Rev. Richard Farmer. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Flowers are welcome, or memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association , PO Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.

I am her daughter and I just want to tell the ones who knew my mom just how much they all meant to her. It's been over 2 1/2 years since she passed and I just wanted to let everyone know what a wonderful woman, daughter, sister, wife and mother she was to all of us. She is missed more and more as each day passes. I also wanted to say thank you to all of those who had such a great impact on her life. Sincerely, Angie

My name is Bill Womack and I went all through elementry and high school with your mom. I have been married for 7 years to Laura Andrew who also went to school with your mom. I live in Raleigh since 1970. I'm sorry to know of her passing and only wish I had known at the time and would have attended the funeral. Even though I had not seen your mom since high school, I remember her as a really sweet girl. Laura knew her better than I did. Thanks for including the info on her.
